Kim Beede graduated from American Institute of Massage Therapy in Walnut Creek, CA in July of 1993. The owner (and teacher at the time) of the school, was Nancy Burr, a wonderfully talented blinded woman who taught her student how she sees through massage. The techniques of massaging were taught by being blindfolded so that the student could not look at what they were massaging. This enabled the students to really feel the muscles they were massaging, not allowing the "sight" to get in the way. To this day, Kim still practices this technique by not looking at the muscles that are being massages, therefore giving a more productive massage. Kim started massaging at Accents in August 1995. In October 1999, she moved out of state for a couple of years, but has since moved back and has been at Accents since October 2002. Kim'd specialty is Swedish massage as well as deep tissue. Massage Therapy is becoming a way of life for many people. Massage therapy not only relieves stress, improves circulation, skim and muscle tone, it gives more energy and helps people to be more "in touch" with themselves. Make massage a part of your monthly routine, your body will thank you for it.
